For RAs & club officers

Your floor, in one scan.

Tape a poster to the door. Everyone who scans it lands in your floor's group. From then on, “heading to dinner at 6, who's coming?” is one tap — and you can see who's in without a single group-chat reply.

Three things, once.

01

Create your floor group

In the app: People → Groups → New. Name it after the floor. You're the admin; nobody joins without scanning or accepting an invite.

02

Print the poster

We generate it with your group's QR code, your first name, and the first event. Tape it by the elevator or on your door.

03

Put the first dinner on it

“Thursday 6 PM · 251 North.” It's already a plan in the group when people scan in — the first chirp never has to be someone's.

What you get

A headcount without askingSee who's in for dinner, the gym, a study session — without “anyone??” going unanswered in the chat.
A quiet way for the shy ones to say yesTapping “I'm in” is easier than typing in front of forty people. That's the point.
Plans that don't scroll awayGroup plans live in Upcoming with RSVPs, not in a thread nobody can find by Thursday.

What it isn't

Not a UMD serviceChirp Campus is an independent app you're choosing to try. It isn't endorsed by Resident Life, and we say so on the poster.
No window into residents' dataAs admin you see the group's members and its plans. Nothing else — not their friends, not their chirps to other people.
Anyone can leave, anytimeJoining is a scan or an invite they accept; leaving is a tap. Nobody is added without saying yes.

Questions RAs ask

Do residents need to be friends with each other? No. A group is its own audience. Chirps sent to the group reach everyone in it; friendships are separate and always mutual.
Some of my residents are 17. Is that okay? The app is 13+. There's no location, no photos, no messaging, no public profiles, and no way to search for a person. Our page for parents has the full list.
What if someone misbehaves?Anyone can report anyone from their profile, a chirp, or a plan. Reports reach a person, and we aim to act within 24 hours. You can also remove someone from the group.
Can a club use this?Yes — same poster, “Your club, in one scan.” Groups hold up to 64 people; bigger clubs run one per committee or cohort.
