Chirp Campus is a small app run by a small team. There is no phone queue and no chatbot — email reaches a person, and a person answers.

Safety reports come first. A report about another person is read by a human, and we aim to act within 24 hours. Reporting is confidential — the person you report is never told.
When you write, it helps to include the phone number on your account, your device (iPhone or Android) and the app version, and — if something looked broken — a screenshot.
Common questions
The verification code never arrived
Signing in sends a 6-digit code by SMS to the number you entered. If it doesn't show up:
- Check the number you typed, including the country code.
- Give it a minute — carrier delivery is not instant.
- Make sure the device has signal, and that you have not blocked short-code messages.
- Tap resend. There are limits on how often a code can be requested, so if you have tried several times in a row, wait a few minutes before trying again.
Still nothing? Email support@chirpcampus.com with the number you're trying to use and roughly when you tried.
I no longer have the phone number on my account
Your account is tied to a verified phone number, so we cannot move it to a new number from your side. Email support@chirpcampus.com and we will help.
How do I report someone?
Every profile, chirp, plan and group carries a report option. Reports reach a person, not a machine, and are confidential — the reported person is never told who reported them.
There is zero tolerance for harassment, threats, or sexually targeting another person. Accounts that do this are removed, without a warning first.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile and tap Block. Blocking is also offered alongside the report option. A blocked person cannot request you, invite you, or see your profile, and they are never told they've been blocked. The people you've blocked are listed under You → Blocked users, where you can unblock at any time.
How do I delete my account?
Open the You tab and scroll to Delete account. The screen tells you exactly what goes before anything is deleted. Deletion is permanent — your profile, your chirps and plans, and your friendships are removed from our database. There is no undo, and no way to restore an account afterwards.
If you cannot get into the app to do this, email privacy@chirpcampus.com from a number we can verify and we will do it for you.
How do I stop getting notifications?
You → Notification settings controls what Chirp Campus sends. Your phone's own settings for Chirp Campus turn them off entirely.
Who can find me on Chirp Campus?
The Discoverable toggle on the You tab controls whether you appear to people you haven't met yet, and the rows above it — your major and residence hall, and your interests — are what you're matched on. Turning Discoverable off does not affect friendships you already have.
Does Chirp Campus track my location?
No. The app never asks for location permission and we do not collect your location. When you attach a place to a chirp you are choosing that place yourself, and only the audience you picked for that chirp sees it.
