Chirp Campus
Last updated: 3 September 2026

Five things. Please read these even if you skip the rest.

  1. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Chirp Campus. If you harass, threaten, or sexually target another person, your account will be removed. We don't warn first.
  2. Report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Reports reach a person, not a machine. We aim to act within 24 hours. Reporting is confidential — the person you report is never told.
  3. Block anyone, for any reason or none. They can't request you, invite you, or see your profile, and they are never told they've been blocked.
  4. Chirp Campus gets people together in person. Use your judgment. We verify phone numbers, which proves someone is a real person with a real phone — it does not prove they are a student, or an adult, or safe. Meet in public. Tell someone where you're going. Trust your instincts.
  5. Anything you post can be screenshotted. Audience controls limit who we show it to — they can't stop someone re-sharing it.

1. Agreeing to these terms

When you create your account you tick a box confirming that you are 13 or older and that you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You cannot continue without ticking it, and we record which version of these documents you agreed to. If you don't agree, don't create an account.

Chirp Campus is operated by ANIRA LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us").

These Terms are also the End User License Agreement for the Chirp Campus app. There is no separate licence document — the zero-tolerance term for objectionable content and abusive users is §4 below.

2. Who can use Chirp Campus

You must be 13 or older, and you confirm that when you create your account. Chirp Campus is built for college students; you should be a current student at a campus we serve.

One account per person. Don't create an account for someone else, don't impersonate anyone, and don't create a new account to get around a suspension.

3. Your account

Your account is tied to your phone number. There's no password — we send a one-time code. Keep access to your phone number secure; anyone who controls it can access your account.

You're responsible for what happens on your account.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Chirp Campus.

You may not use Chirp Campus to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone
  • Post or send sexual content, or sexualize any user
  • Sexually solicit, groom, or target a minor in any way
  • Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, or that demeans anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
  • Threaten or incite violence
  • Impersonate anyone
  • Share another person's private information without permission
  • Post anything unlawful, or use Chirp Campus to plan anything unlawful
  • Spam, scam, phish, advertise, or promote a business
  • Send bulk or repeated unwanted connection requests
  • Try to circumvent blocking, reporting, rate limits, or a suspension
  • Screenshotting or otherwise redistributing another user's broadcast, plan, or profile outside Chirp Campus without their permission
  • Using groups, plans, or broadcasts to coordinate exclusion, pile-ons, or harassment of any person
  • Soliciting phone numbers, social handles, or other contact details from someone you have not connected with, or pressuring anyone to move a conversation to another platform
  • Scraping, crawling, automating, or reverse-engineering any part of Chirp Campus, or accessing it other than through the official app

If you post objectionable content or behave abusively, we will remove the content and terminate your account. We may do this without warning and at our sole discretion.

5. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement

Reporting. Every profile, broadcast, plan, and group carries a report option. Reports go to a person. We aim to review reports and act within 24 hours. Reporting is confidential — the reported person is not told who reported them.

Blocking. You can block anyone. They can't send you a connection request, invite you to a group, or view your profile. Blocking is permanent, silent, and enforced by our servers — never by your device alone.

Blocking stops contact, not co-existence. You and someone you've blocked can still end up in the same group or at the same plan, because letting one person's block remove another from a shared group would let anyone quietly exclude anyone. So instead: you always see the person you blocked, marked as blocked, and we warn you before you RSVP to a plan they're attending. They see nothing.

What we do about reports. Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn the user, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently. Sexual content involving a minor, credible threats, and stalking result in immediate termination.

Child sexual abuse material. Federal law requires us to report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and we will.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the audience you chose, so the app can work. That's the whole license — we don't use your content for anything else, and it ends when you delete it or your account.

Don't post anything you don't have the right to post.

We may remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Meeting people in person

This is the part we most want you to read.

Chirp Campus exists to get people together in real life. That's the point, and it carries real risk that no app can remove.

  • Phone verification proves someone is a real person with a real phone. It does not prove they are a student, an adult, or safe.
  • Anyone can put anything in their profile. We don't verify majors, residence halls, or years.
  • Meet in public places. Tell a friend where you're going. Leave if you feel uncomfortable.
  • You are meeting people at your own risk. We are not responsible for what happens when you meet someone, and we don't screen or background-check anyone.

If someone makes you uncomfortable: block them, report them, and if you're in danger, call 911 or your campus police.

8. What we don't promise

Chirp Campus is provided as is. We don't promise it will always work, always be available, or be free of errors. We may change or remove features.

We do not screen users and we do not vouch for anyone. Other users' behavior is their own.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ANIRA LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Chirp Campus.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to US $100 or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; where that's the case, they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Ending your account

You: delete your account any time from Settings → Delete account. It's permanent — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what's deleted.

Us: we may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, or if we believe it's necessary to protect someone. For serious safety violations, we do this immediately and without notice.

If your account is terminated for a safety violation, don't create a new one. We'll remove it too.

11. Text messages

We send you a one-time code by SMS to sign in. Message and data rates may apply. These are transactional messages required for the service, not marketing — we don't send promotional texts.

12. Apple

You're getting Chirp Campus through the App Store, so a few terms apply between you and Apple:

  • These Terms are between you and ANIRA LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Chirp Campus.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide support for Chirp Campus.
  • If Chirp Campus fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund your purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • ANIRA LLC, not Apple, is responsible for product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy law.
  • ANIRA LLC, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Chirp Campus after that means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
